The Relaxator Breath Trainer is a small and convenient "whistle" that improves your breathing habits.

It is extremely easy to use - simply place it in your mouth, and when you exhale, it provides adjustable resistance.

With regular use, 2-3 times a day, it will help you achieve optimal breathing, resulting in increased oxygen intake.

In addition to making your breathing more rhythmic, slow, and relaxed, the Relaxator also stimulates your diaphragm to function better, ensuring that the air you inhale goes deeper into your abdomen, i.e. the lower part of your lungs.

Lotte uses The Relaxator Breath Trainer in 2 different ways. Either to extend you exhalation, or to work on increased lung pressure.

The Relaxator breathing trainer can be used by both children and adults.

WHY CHOOSE THE RELAXATOR

When choosing between a PEP (Positive Expiratory Pressure) whistle and a Relaxator, it may seem that they can do the same thing. Yes, they can, but...!

The Relaxator's resistance is easy to adjust and takes only a few seconds. The Relaxator is small, measuring 3 cm in diameter and 3 cm in length.

HOW TO USE THE RELAXATOR

Read the quick guide below. Or consult your Breath Therapist for specific use for your needs.

1. ADJUST THE RESISTANCE

Adjust the resistance to your preference by rotating the Relaxator mouthpiece to adjust the airflow. There are five levels of resistance: the smaller the opening, the greater the resistance. Level 5 has the heaviest resistance, while Level 1 has the lightest. The goal is to achieve a slow, deep, relaxed, and rhythmic breathing pattern, so it is recommended to increase the resistance slowly and gradually to ensure your breathing remains relaxed. An optimal breathing pattern is typically achieved when the resistance is set to 3-4. You may start lower and work your way up to more resistance slowly. Pay attention to your body and adjust accordingly. Notice how your breathing feels and is experienced after using the Relaxator. If your breathing is relaxed and rhythmic, the Relaxator is set to an appropriate resistance level.

2. PLACE THE RELAXATOR IN YOUR MOUTH

Place the Relaxator in your mouth and let it rest gently between your lips to relax your mouth. If possible, avoid biting it with your teeth as it can create tension in your jaw and increased saliva production.

3. EXHALE THROUGH THE RELAXATOR

Exhale slowly and steadily through the Relaxator. Take your time to complete your exhale entirely.

4. BREATHE CALMLY IN THROUGH YOUR NOSE

Inhale calmly through your nose in the best way you have learned. Watch videos about proper breathing here. Note that the primary focus when using the Relaxator should be on your exhalation, as it forms the basis for good inhalation. Read more about exhalation here.

5. USE THE RELAXATOR FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES ONCE OR TWICE A DAY

Using the Relaxator for fifteen minutes once or twice a day provides good results. There is no limit to how long it can be used at a time. Some choose to use it for 1-2 hours per day.

6. MAINTAIN A RELAXED BREATHING WHILE TRAINING WITH THE RELAXATOR

Try to maintain a relaxed, NOT strained breathing pattern when using the Relaxator. Take the time and calm it requires when using the Relaxator. Please be aware that our breathing affects every aspect of our lives, so if you train too hard with the Relaxator initially, you may experience various physical or mental reactions.

Please note! The Relaxator is not a substitute for medication. Always consult your doctor before making any medical changes.
